Derwood S. Chase, Jr. is the founder of Chase Investment Counsel Corporation in Charlottesville, Virginia, as well as its chairman emeritus, CEO, treasurer, and portfolio manager. He is the sole contributor to the Chase Foundation of Virginia, which distributed $895.5 thousand in grants to right-wing groups in 2011.[1] He is a trustee of the Reason Foundation and the Fraser Institute and a member of the Mont Pelerin Society, according to BusinessWeek.[2] He has been a board member of the State Policy Network.
