Citizens for the Environment was a spinoff front group created in 1990 by Citizens for a Sound Economy. Both groups were funded by the oil billionare Koch Family. "Citizens for the Environment" called acid rain and other environmental problems "myths." When the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette investigated the group, it discovered that the spinoff group had "no citizen membership of its own.”[1]
